Cotton is a shrub fiber , it creates a  yarn in order to make a breathable and soft textile or fabric. There’s no need to wash it for an extended period too, wasting so much time, power, and detergent of course.  Cotton fibers stick together longer compared with synthetic fibers as the latter tends to break down easily and becomes fuzzy.

Since it is a natural fiber, cotton is less toxic compared with other synthetic fiber.  Cloth fibers which are synthetically prepared are treated with chemicals. Most of these can be absorbed by the skin.
